Subset of business mileage actually payable under company policy.
Reimbursable mileage is the subset of business mileage that company policy actually pays — some employers subtract the equivalent of the day's commute, others exclude trips within a minimum radius of the office. Policy must spell this out to avoid disputes. Receipts submitted on a standard form arrive pre-calculated per policy.
