A mileage rate expressed in kilometers, used in metric-system countries.
The per-kilometer rate is the metric variant of mileage reimbursement, used in Brazil, Mexico, the EU, and most of the world. Distance (km) is multiplied by the rate to compute reimbursement. A 35 km trip at R$ 1.00 per km yields R$ 35.00. The rate can cover fuel only or full operating cost (fuel + maintenance + depreciation). Choice depends on company policy and tax regime.
