NF-e (Nota Fiscal Eletrônica) is Brazil's mandatory electronic fiscal document for goods sales, managed by state SEFAZs. Services use NFS-e (municipal). In corporate mileage, NF-e for fuel and maintenance supports the bookkeeping; reimbursement to the employee is captured on a receipt plus expense report, not on an NF-e.
