Mexican Social Security Institute, equivalent to Brazil's INSS.
IMSS (Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social) is the federal Mexican institute administering social security, public healthcare, and labor benefits. Employer and employee contribute jointly. Properly documented mileage reimbursement is outside the salario base de cotización (SBC) and therefore generates no additional IMSS contribution.
