Hybrid vehicle

Vehicle with both internal-combustion and electric motors, typically 40%–60% more efficient than pure ICE.

A hybrid vehicle pairs an internal-combustion engine with an electric motor, recapturing energy under braking. Full hybrids (Prius, Corolla Hybrid) reach 22–25 km/L; mild hybrids save 10%–15%. For field fleets, hybrids cut fuel cost 30%–50% but cost more upfront. The reimbursement rate should reflect total cost, not just fuel.
