Hub-and-spoke model

Logistics pattern where deliveries converge at a distribution center before fanning out to destinations.

Hub-and-spoke is the logistics pattern where loads converge at a distribution center (hub) before going to final destinations (spokes). Used by postal services, freight carriers, and e-commerce. For mileage reimbursement, hub-to-spoke driving is reimbursable; hub-to-hub typically follows a freight tariff instead of mileage rate.
