Automatic real-time capture of routes using device GPS coordinates.
GPS tracking uses smartphone or vehicle-tracker coordinates to log the actual route, distance, stops, and times. Unlike map-based calculation (theoretical route), GPS captures real detours and idle time. It is the most auditable form of substantiation for clinical, tax, or fleet audits. Privacy note: tracking must be in policy and the employee must consent.
