Vehicle & Fuel

Fuel economy

How far a vehicle travels per unit of fuel; expressed in km/L or MPG.

Fuel economy measures how far the vehicle travels per liter or gallon of fuel. It directly drives cost per km and the appropriate reimbursement rate. Typical compact cars: 10–14 km/L on gasoline. Hybrids: 18–25 km/L. Use real-world combined consumption (city + highway) to set the rate.
