Tax & Compliance
Tax on non-cash employee benefits (Australia, New Zealand) including private use of a company car.
Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) is the tax in Australia and New Zealand on non-cash employee benefits, including personal use of a company vehicle. The current Australian rate is 47%. Employers calculate FBT on the imputed private-use value, separating business trips (exempt) from personal trips (taxable). Business mileage receipts support that split.
