Determining the kilometers between origin and destination for reimbursement.
Distance can be calculated three ways: (1) vehicle odometer (start and end readings), (2) digital map (Google Maps, Waze), or (3) real-time GPS. Map-based calculation is the most common method for digital receipts because it is auditable and reproducible. Quilometragem uses real driving routes (not straight-line distance) to capture what was actually driven.
