A BYOD vehicle (Bring Your Own Device) arrangement has the employee use their own car for work and receive reimbursement instead of being given a company car. It cuts the company's fixed cost (no fleet), removes fringe-benefit tax, and decentralizes maintenance. In exchange, the policy must specify minimum insurance, vehicle age, and fair reimbursement rules.
